Designer’s Statement:
I have professionally designed and crafted custom cabinets and furniture for 35 years. My work invariably expresses a sense of motion. Art-Deco and Art-Nouveau periods are my references including graphics, furniture, and interior design. Passionate about design and craftsmanship, I enjoy following new architectural development from skyscrapers and bridges to stone sculpture.
I have designed custom lighting fabricated from sheet-metal. My pendant light features mica visible through laser cut penetrations in lead coated copper. Design elements from the Eiffel tower to the Brooklyn Bridge are featured in my work. Industrial design is an inspiration for me from factory work tables to radios and automobile hood ornaments.
An inventor with a patent for a plywood edgebanding woodworking tool that has prospered, I am an entrepreneur with business experience.
I have a well-equipped shop in Lincoln Vermont, including woodworking and metalworking tools. My preferred materials are hardwood, aluminum, and stone-both marble and granite.
